2020 witnessed various economic and social damages brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, overshadowing all difficulties is the resilient will, determination and joint strength of all Vietnamese people in the fight towards a bright future.
Joining in this fight, in addition to complying with regulations to protect personal and community health, SnB has also been carrying out many meaningful and practical actions during two major anti-epidemic waves in Vietnam.
With the desire to support commercial agents and join hands with the government to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, on March 10, Mr. Hirano Yuzo – the Japanese CEO of SnB Distribution Co., Ltd. – signed a commitment to comply with the selling price of Glico Icreo products sent to distributors and resellers nationwide.
Specifically, SnB commits to ensure a sufficient supply of goods for planned orders according to the instructions of SnB’s sales staff, and at the same time does not increase sales prices for agents and retail prices for consumers. Along with that, SnB expressed its wish to join customers in stabilizing the price of Glico Icreo products.
In April, when the whole country implemented social distancing, all of SnB’s sales staff, fully complying with necessary anti-epidemic measures, went to each store to ensure the company’s essential quantity was fully maintained to satisfy customers’ demand.
Joining hands with the whole country, during the weekend of March 21 and 22, all SnB staff donated to the COVID-19 prevention fund launched by the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, in order to strengthen preventive and curative measures and soon repel the pandemic.
On March 28, in response to the #Staysafestayhome movement, all stores in Soc&Brothers retail chain put up banners and arranged delivery service. In addition, SnBers also contributed to spreading this meaningful movement on social networks.
On March 30, in the midst of the Bach Mai epidemic with the number of infections constantly increasing every day, brave “warriors” from the SnB logistics department wore protective gears and delivered necessities to the hospital.
In the second break-out, SnB was one of the first units to donate and sponsor the epidemic zones. On August 8, SnB sent 2000 protective gears to Quang Nam, 2000 protective gears to Da Nang alongside with 200 COVID-19 test-kits. The meaningful and timely support of the company was reciprocated with sincere and profound thanks from the people in the epidemic area.
Besides the domestic fight against COVID-19, SnB also joins hands with global friends. The company donated masks to JETRO Niigata to assist the provincial government in epidemic prevention. JETRO is a close and important friend of SnB: through the business connection program organized by JETRO in October 2019, SnB has met and initiated business connections with many Japanese businesses at Tsubame Sanjo (Niigata), which is famous for the production of tableware and kitchen utensils.
On July 31, 2020, JETRO Hanoi Office and JETRO Niigata office organized a meeting, in which they gave a thank-you letter to Ms. Nguyen Bach Thuy Linh – CEO of Soc & Brothers for this sincere gift.
COVID-19 requires social distancing, but with a sense of solidarity and a sharing heart, we can be closer than ever. SnB will continue to accompany and stand side by side with Vietnam and the world in the fight against the pandemic, in order to build a safer and brighter tomorrow for future generations.
