First identified in China in December, 2019, CoVid – 19 has now spread to 180 countries and their territories. It has caused over 245.000 people being infected and over 10.000 deaths (*). Not only has this epidemic greatly affected human, it has also brought up a lot of setbacks to the finance all over the globe: Difficulties in international trade, in importing and exporting; supply chain disruption; stock index tumbling; gold price fluctuating. The JPY/VND rate of change has increased significantly making companies doing business in Japanese products raise prices to deal with the current situation. Moreover, many consumers are particularly worried about being infected with CoVid – 19. Many of them have bought a huge amount of necessaries for storage. As a result, the need for necessaries has rocketed over the past few months.
With the hope to support agencies and together with the Government to minimize the effect of CoVid – 19, on 10 March, Mr. Hirano Yuzo – the Japanese CEO of SnB, Ltd. – signed a commitment regarding Keeping Glico Icreo prices unchanged and sent to all Glico distributors and retailers.
Besides, SnB would like all Glico distributors and retailers to support SnB in stabilizing prices for Glico Icreo products. We are entitled to refuse to provide our products to the agencies that break the commitment and increase selling prices higher than the retail prices of SnB.
Being one of the top companies in providing imported products for mothers and babies, SnB not only ensures the quality of our products but also supports distributors and agencies. Together, we will minimize the effect of this epidemic in particular, and contribute to the development and prestige of the market for mothers & babies’ goods in general.
