“When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.” Taking this quote as his life compass, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu – Sales Manager of MT channel of Merries, Ho Chi Minh area – always tries to live the most satisfying life possible. At SnB, he has been experiencing meaningful moments of life, bringing the best values to society.
Before joining SnB in January 2015, Mr. Tu was in charge of sales at Nha Be Garment Corporation for one year. At SnB, starting from the position of sales staff, he became a sales supervisor after a year and a half, and was appointed as a regional sales manager in 2021.
Looking back on the nearly 7 years of working with SnB, Mr. Tu said that there are two main factors that help him choose and stay with the company for a long time: the values SnB brings to society and himself, and the emotional attachment between employees in the company.
First of all, Mr. Tu values the company’s contributions to society. This is the very first reason why he chose to join the company, as well as one of the most important reasons for him to stay until now. The products for mothers and babies distributed by SnB are of high quality and, according to him, are surely going in the right direction of the industry.
Another great value is a dynamic working environment with challenges that stimulate personal and professional development, while always maintaining a positive and progressive atmosphere without any pressure. Mr. Tu recalled his most difficult time in 2017: he just assumed the position of sales supervisor and was assigned to be in charge of Baby products on all channels including MT, GT, and PV. The large amount of work made him feel overwhelmed. Faced with this challenge, he tried to solve each problem, learning from the experiences of senior managers at the office. Thanks to that, gradually he was able to complete the work, and at the same time, gained valuable experiences regarding work and time management, which can be applied even until now.
The bonds and enthusiasm of company employees are the values that Mr. Tu cherishes the most. From the Board of Directors with sincere love and care for employees that few companies have, to the enthusiastic and energetic workforce in his team, altogether they make up his source of motivation every working day.
Having been with SnB for a long time, Mr. Tu was most impressed with Mr. Pham Tan Dat – Director of the Ho Chi Minh office – as he gives off the vibe of a loving and protective elder brother in the family. Mr. Tu’s most treasured memory with the company and the Ho Chi Minh office is the charity trip on September 26 – 27 in Dak Nong. Contrary to his initial concern that the difficult living conditions here would make it difficult for employees to adapt, everyone was very sociable, happy, and enthusiastic about volunteering. That spirit is also a great advantage that makes him choose and stay with SnB.
Last but not least, the opportunity to develop personal strengths and interests is another great value. At SnB, Mr. Tu has close colleagues who share his hobbies of swimming, traveling and cooking. In addition, his ability to be an MC during his university years is further developed and promoted in the present: he plays the main MC role in all events of the Ho Chi Minh office.
Always appreciating what he received, Mr. Tu thinks that he needs to contribute to the development of SnB and further spread these positive values to the community and society. All in all, for him, value is definitely the strongest bond.
